Front and Back Windscreen Washer Not Working on 2000 Renault Megane?

Hi,
I have a 2000 (w) Renault Megane and my front and rear windscreen washer is not working. The pump makes no sound but the wipers come on.
Does it sound as though the pump is broken.. if so, where is the pump located as my boyfriend checked the engine and we couldn't see it!
