1996 Honda Civic DX wont start, when I turn the key all I get is one click?

The car (1996 Honda Civic DX) was fine all day then I get back into the car and go to start it and it seemed as if the battery was dead so I got a jump and found out that was not the problem. Now I get normal power but when I go to start the car all I get is a click. It doesnt crank just a click. And when its in crank position all the power goes off until I realease the key. Can someone please help. I dont know what to do. Thanks.

replace the starter or check the batt. starter is located under the intake

Starter motor stuck. Try bashing it. Second put the car in gear and rock it back and forth.
