Variable Speed drive of Snapper Riding Mower Model 3081S fails?
Variable speed drive of my Snapper Riding Mover (30") started to slip and finally quit . The problem seems to be in the transmission part. The driven disk with the rubber ring was replaced. The rear wheels are turning freely when rider is pushed .
Should I check the sliding chain case or the differential?
I had the same problem with a John Deere and I ended up having to just replace the transmission. I was suprised how cheap Transmissions were compared to what they were five years ago
