focus wont start?

my 1999 focus has died on me.it turns over but does not start-checked plugs-checked all the usual things(blocked pipes lose wires)have even put petrol in plug port but still wont start.can anyone help me from paying silly garage bills

dont know what engine you have here but had a few focus`s with problems with coil packs,held on with four bolts and usually got one from a scrappy
