How can I fix my homelite 360 ut104684?

This saw would not idle properly, so I removed the carb, underneath was this melted blob of rubber. So I ordered a new carb boot. When it came it was a large acordian shaped piece. It looks much to large to fit in the space available. Do I have the right part? Do you force it into the intake port?

I had the same problem. I couldn't find the part that was supposed to go there, so I put the rubber part I ordered over the intake flange then the metal heat shield over that peice. It will probably melt, not that I think of it...damn. well I guess we'll find out.

Where did you find the part? I need one as well.
