renault megane 1.6 judders on left turn - clutch going?

What should be considered in finding the fault ?
There is a judder when turning ninety degrees leftwards

Those symptoms aint a clutch. This may more likely be due to a worn outer constant velocity joint ("CV joint" to use trade term).Have a friend with decent hearing listen to what side the noise is coming from when you turn left. With french cars you usually have to buy the whole drive-shaft anyway.Contact your local motor factors and/or car accessory dealers from your phone books and compare prices or go on-line (try "GSF"). Then find a decent mechanic and make him your friend so you don't get ripped off!
