how can i get my poulan weedeater to stay running?

i have a poulan xtreme fx25 bent shaft type. i don't have the model #. it starts but doesn't run long enough to switch choke to off position. i just replaced fuel lines and fuel filter.

There is also a filter under the the pump cover of the carb ( cover held with a single screw in the middle ) even if it looks clean replace it
