Breaks Comming On?

After driving 8 miles or so the brake pedal goes really hard and the brakes come on on the van. After a while the pedal goes back to normal position. I have changed the pads and discs. Any ideas?

For citroen deisal van.

there should be slight play in master cylinder/ brake pedal pushrod,is pedal return spring ok, not quite sure of your vehicle model/type, but if servo is via linkage to opposite side of van, check for siezure of pins/bushes. did you check calliper slides and pistons when you changed discs/pads.if you jack it up when cold wheels should be free to turn and not binding.
