Does anyone know a way around the hugh cost to retro fit a PTO to this gearbox ?
The vehicle was not spec'd from new and will require hardware and a software download.

if a new truck with an as-tronic ,fit your own pump ,and get DAF to do the software ,,that way you will have better control of the pto operation ,and if you accidently leave it engaged ,with switch off conditions programmed in ,it will automatically disengage ,you can have it basically tailored to your needs...in the long run it will be way cheaper than a new as-tronic ,should something go wrong

put in manual switch and relay pto is fitted to rear of box there is a square plate cover where it fits. be very carfull if you dont limit revs or have a warning system to tell you pto is engaged you will damage pto and possibly gearbox.
