what happens if the break nipples shear wen bleeding my breaks on a 1.2clio?

Hi,
I have a 1.2 renault clio 1999 reg. about 5 weeks ago it ran out of break fluid. the cars been off road for about 3 months and my stepdad is going to fit a new part as the leaking break fluid was coming from the back right side break cylinder. We have the new part and break fluid to put in but someone told me that there is a risk with old cars that when you bleed the breaks the break nipples can shear and thats an exspensive problem to fix! any advice would be amazing thanks!

quite an old car this so nipples may be a bit tight, get a good fitting socket onto them, give a good spray with wd40 before you start, one whl.cyl is getting fitted, why not replace both and that is both rear sorted, apply copaslip to each nipple when you fit them and you wont have the same problem for a while, must be careful with the front calipers, gently work back and forward, if you think they are going to break stop and try and source a welding plant and apply a small amount of heat round base of nipple and try again, once free clamp the hose, remove nipple and make sure it is not clogged up,apply copaslip and refit, good luck.
