my steam iron does not release steam and red light stays on as soon as the iron heats up. I have de-scaled it, taken it apart and blown through the water hose and it is not blocked but still does not work. So i'm looking for another answer. The make and model is a tefal express ultraglide diffusion, model 2911.

If you can hear the solenoid valve in thr base unit clicking when tou press the steam button it may be the micro-switch in the handle playing up.
