I have a citroen picasso, both my brake lights dont work, ?

My brake lights dont work on my picasso, although every other light interior and exterior work perfectly, i am a little puzzled as to why the manual for changing the fuses does not state where the fuses are for the brakes. I would appreciate some help here, as i dont want to drive my car in case it causes an accident. Many Thanks Michelle.

I have experienced the same. There is no fuse! but there is a switch which when the brake pedal is pushed should operate. This will have seized and is easily replaced. But getting access is a ltlle tricky, you have to remove the bottom half of facia below steering wheel and pedal. Part is about £4 from local car part shop. Avid expensive citreon dealers.

it may be both bulbs that have blown, has it got a high level brake light,if it has and it's working then check bulbs as they are usually on same fuse.[bulbs have a certain life and is the reason that both blow at around the same time]

rather than a fuse blowing, it could be switch under brake pedal, go to any local motor factors and get a new one or a garage will fit new one, very easy to do if you know how.
