How to fix Standard Accubind Planatol Binder Binding System ?
Known as the Standard Accubind Planatol Binder Binding System in the USA. Not working properly. I was kindly sent a technicians guide by the manufactuer in Germany - who have been more than helpful and I have been trying to fix it but instructions are a bit too technical for me.
At first, the binding feeder arm would not even feed the binding stip into position - so I adjusted the no. 1 and 2 cam switches and that worked.
But, there still seems to be a problem with the heating plate.
It is not functioning - it makes an awful grating noise during operation and then comes up with the follwing message:
EC 16:
The heated plate fails to reach its end position (closed).For safety reasons, the processor switches off the actuation of the heating plate.
I have cleaned every area I can get to for any adhesive residue.
I have gone through the service procedure and I can open and close the heating plate manually during the service mode - so I do not know what is wrong, although it still makes a grating noise during the service operation.
Any help you could give me would be most appreciated.
