can anybody help me i have an ldv convoy van and yesterday i started out fine but after about 2 miles the accelerator stopped working the engine managment light came on and the engine stayed at idle speed now if i turn on it will drive for about 500 yards then same thing.turn off then on accelerator works but only 500 yards approx it is a ford diesel engine and it has an electronic accelerator could this part be the fault or is it something else all the best marc.
may need to be put onto a code reader,point is under the ash tray,have done some pedals on these but it was more a lack of power than not revving,check fuel filter indicator is not pointing to a filter change
