I have a proform 795sl and it stops after about 45 minutes on a gentle walking pace with no elevation - i have adjusted belt and lube is ok but cannot resolve the issue - appears to be belt motor heat related as it goes again a few hours later - power still remains to the console lights when it stops, just the belt stops so the circuit breaker doesnt trip only i do when it stops - i have followed all faqs and belt adjustments and lubes etc and have been unable to resolve the issue -- aussie who needs help please if anyone had similar issue and knows the fix

I had exactly same problem. I have proform 830 QT. My trademill stops after 10 minutes of work out. Everything shuts down and the circuit breaker pops out.

Root cause:- no lubrication under walking belt. Caused the moter to over work (over heat) and hence te circuit breaker popped out to prevent blowing of motor.

Solution:- Apply the lubricant under walking belt and adjust the belt tension if needed.

Back ground:- Contact proform customer service at 1-888-533-1333 (http://www.iconservice.com/proform/faq_tread.html) and buy the treadmil cleaning kit or lubricant kit which comes with a wand for easy application. It may cost you 35 dollars including shipping. If you need to fix your treadmil right away, use NAPA silicon spray 8300. Proform actually tells do not use it as it may damage your belt. However the specialst who came to fix my treadmill just sprayed it and collected 100 dollars. When I called proform they told me lubricating will fix it and its my mistake to not trust them. I guess they knew exactly what they were saying.

Lose about 400 lbs before getting on the treadmill again Harish.

Kidding.

Seriously, probably a fuse or a power supply issue. I'd check out the Treadmill Report, it's pretty thorough and straightforward. Just search "Treadmill Report," it's really good to have for anybody that owns a treadmill.

Also check out these vids:

They gave me some insight on some diagnostics that you can perform to find out the problem.

Hey Steve, Where did you get the instructions to replace the belt ? I have proform 610. The treadmill speeds up and slows down frequently. I think it's time to replace the belt (I adjusted the belt several times as mentioned in the manual. But didn't help). I don't have the intructions to replace the belt. can you please let me know the intructions ?

My Proform CR610 stopped randomly and automatically reset, however, the fuse did not blow. I swapped out the fuse but that didn't cure. Next, I applied a lubricant to the belt but that didn't cure. Finally, I replaced the walking belt and that seemed to have cured the problem. The process of replacing the belt was not difficult as instructions were provided that were helpful.

Mine is ten years old and start quitting on me during runs. Talk about ruining a good run! It would start working after a few minutes but still very frustrating. I ordered a new circuit breaker/reset switch, which is the same button I was pushing to reset the treadmill after it stopped. I ordered the part online from the Treadmill doctor at http://www.proformtreadmillparts.com/. The part was like $15 plus shipping. Easy to install, just removed a few screws underneath the treadmill slide off the 2 wires, snap out the old part and install the new circuit breaker. It’s been 3 weeks and about 12 runs and the problem seams to be corrected. I was thrilled; I was ready to buy a new treadmill. Now I can save my cash, cha-ching. Good Luck.

I got a new fuse from Proform and replaced it when mine was doing the same thing.
