Although it is a frostfree freezer. These still freeze up. Ice forms on the fan (and surrounding areas), which is situated in the freezer compartment.
This causes the fan to block up. If you switch it off and least it defrost for 48 hours. This may do the trick. However the chances are that the fan will be broken as it will have continully tried to spin when it was blocked.
The fan is quite easy to replace though they may cost quite a lot mine cost £120. The covers are usualy frosted over and you need to unscrew the covers, these re easy to remove with a little patience, fitted it myself. I wont be buying a frost free from hotpoint again
