peugot206cc?

i have a peugot 206 cc the speedo only registers up to about 10 mph somebody said its the sender in the gearbox does this sound right

On models without a speedometer drive assembly in the transmission the vehicle speed data is received from the engine management ECU. This information is supplied from the wheel speed sensors and the ABS ECU.

You need to find out which applies to your particular model.
