how do i fix a worn gasket on a 96 transit long wb. im filling it up with e?

how do i repair a worn gasket on a transit van. 96 model lwb. im fillling her up every day and the water is coming out from the seal above the thermostat. where do i get one and is it easy to do

dam it lol sorry mate read this totally wrong!!!! my bad lol as other reply thermostat is easy as hell to sort out dont know why i thought it read head gasket!!! when you take the housing off take the new seal and smear some hylamar gasket sealant around it helps to seal it a little better sorry again

hi, i think these are quite straight forward id say go get a haynes manual and follow that through, you have to remove the cambelt, viscous fan, front grill, cams, push-rods, inlet and exhaust manifolds remove the valves and guides etc then get the head crack and pressure tested.
if you aint pretty savvy with a spanner get someone to do it for you as itl just be a pain from start to finish and you'l end up having to replace pushrods if the cambelt snaps!!!!!

not sure but does this have a big plastic housing,a long time since i done one of these,think it is in the shape of a big nut,got to check for cracks in this housing,cant think that it was too bad to do good luck
