as above please , i cant seem to find a dipstick for the gear box. the car wont select any drive gears but will go in reverse. i was told i could simply be gearbox oil.

If you don't have enough ATF to go forwards. Then it's likely it also will not go backwards. It therefore is NOT lack of ATF. There is a level/ filler bung on the side of the pan.(TH4L30-E).The low band is not working. For specialist www.fedauto,co,uk

most auto boxes have a small filler pipe with a pull-off cap on them, jack the car up and look towards the front of the gearbox about the halfway mark and see if its there. you will also need to check the seals to find where you are losing the oil from, check how much transmisson fluid your gearbox takes to fill it, when you have filled box, you will need to start the car,KEEP BRAKES ON, and go though your gears to settle the oil though-out the box. if you are still having trouble time to go to auto transmisson garage.
