my hja8630 dishwasher wont work?

The red "s" shaped light is lit but im unsure what this means.
Im trying to do a wash but the machine does nothing.
Ive pressed the start/pause button thinking it may reset itself but nothings happening???

is it the 's' symbol to say the salt has run out?.Press and hold the start button in for 3-5 secs to reset it
