How can i fix my sony ericsson c902 from water damage?

I have a sony ericsson c902. It was in my pocket when all of a sudden it started raining very heavily and by the time i got home my clothes were soaked the phone in my pocket was wet. I dried it off with a towel and thought no more of it however when i came to use it none of the buttons worked. I removed the battery and then replaced it and switched it back. This made all of the buttons work apart from the "up key".

Nothing i have tried seems to make that last key work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom roberts.

Thanks very much for your answer. I have now tried this but it does not help. Must have corroded. I think i will just leave it becsuse the phone works, it's just an inconvenience not having that button.

Anyway thanks your help.

The inside of the phone must of got wet also, what i did was to dry it by using a hair drier, see if that works ,if not you must have corrosion which means that the phone has to be opened up and the mother board needs brushing.when all else fails look up how to repair the make of your phone on the web and it will give you step by step instructions good luck.
