Cycles not Synchronized?

I have a Maytag Centennial Washer (Model MVWC6ESWW). It is just over a year old. It appears that the water and agitation and spin cycles are no longer synchronized. When I go to start a cycle it will start to agitate before there is water or while it is filling. I can mover the dial elsewhere, and I may find myself in the middle of a spin cycle when it should be agitating, but it is at the same time filling with water. Just totally screwed up. Any idea how to deal with this?
