Is it easy to change an element on Electrolux EOD33002X?

The main oven on our Electrolux EOD33002X double oven has decided to not work. On turning on the oven a spark came from the rear of the oven-fan and light still work and have been told over phone by engineer that it could be the element. I am abit reluctant to call engineer out due to high cost involved. The top oven still works fine. Is it likely to be the element and if so, are they easy to change? I have an electrician friend who is willing to change it, but he doesn't know much about kitchen appliances.

its not hard to replace, just turn off the all the power, pull out the oven to were you can get the back off" take the back cover off, look for the 3 wires going to the broken element, , the element is held in place with lock nuts, note were the wires go , photo it" now you will have to open the oven door take the racks out!the back wall of the oven were the fan is , will screw off, 4 screws " you can see the element then, you can remove it , get one the same power rateing, i paid 50 euro for one , but im in dublin, ps you can use the rest of the cooker with the element out , but dont turn on the knob for the missing element , but its not hard to fix, good luck
