Someone tried to break into my car and my driver door lock is now damaged, the car locks from passenger lock, I want to replace the lock any ideas where i can get a door lock & also how to fix it

you can get a door lock kit from ford but you have to build it up to correspond with your key,your key will have a number like T132431 and the lock has numbered collets to suit your key no.first you have to get the door card off and remove the lock,if you know a good mechanic who would do you a favour and build up the lock for you,only takes 5 mins,that would be good,other option is to go to a scrappy and get a lock and key to match but you then have two keys to worry about,good luck
