i have two problems that need fixing.the first is a smell of petrol on my 2.0i when i come to a stop at traffic lights etc etc, and the other is a juddering on my brake pedal at low speeds,the abs light does not come on to record any faults .i know a peugeot fitter very well and hes taken it into the workshop but can find nothing wrong,he told me to just try and live with it. This i cant do as it makes the car feel and drive like a piece of crap .Please help if you can

you should maybe change your pollen filter,remove brake pads and check they are not seized and use copaslip on mating surfaces when rebuilding,if no better your discs may need replacing

check all fuel pipes under bonnet. they leak sometimes.
also sounds like your front discs are warped. get them replaced.
