How can I renovate my furniture/doors?

I have just purchased a bailey caravan and the interior woodwork/doors etc are in a bad way. After contacting Bailey website I find that the doors etc are MDF covered in sticy plastic wrap and that this is a common problem with the wood effect print coming off. And that there is no good solution. I will be planning to prime and then paint and my question is has anyone already done this with good results and what was used.

a number of non solid wood doors in homes are the same , a vinyl wrap which lifts by damp and heat , and i guess with a c,van summer/winter temperatures , the vinyl lifts on the edges but you can trim it off on the edges and clean facias with cheap scourers then undercoat , rub down with fine paper then finish in trade satin wood best is johnstones from a leyland center do not use diy paint as it does not have the adhesion also leylands will mix any colour from hund, reds of colours, leyands will give you good advice , say i sent you regards john
