Triton T80si shower - burning smell?

Triton T80si. After short usage a hot burning smell is emitted & on removing the cover I find that the outlet overheat thermostat is discoloured & the 2 leads connected to it has badly overheated at the thermostat end with the insulation covering the thermostat terminal connections melted away. Would this indicate a faulty thermostat or could there be something else causing a thermostat problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I have now solved the problem. It was the output thermal cut-out sparking & overheating. To get the cut-out I had to buy the shower outlet which comes as a complete unit with the cut-out, PRD & electric connection block together with all wires attached which I purchased from showerdoc.co.uk
