piaggio nrg dd back light staying on ?

Hi there i have a piaggio nrg dd 2008 and the break light stays on perminatly so when i press the breaks you wouldnt know what may have caused my break light to stay on perminatley ?

there is a switch in the handle bar that will be stuck. You press the lever and it depresses the switch. HAve a look. You may be lucky and just need wd40 to loosen it or you will need a new switch
