Renault Megane key card is displaying "NOT DECTECTED"?

My key card will not start my 04 Megane. A message is displayed on the dash board CARD NOT DECTECED.
I have replaced the battery and still no joy i can lock and unlock the doors but can not start my car. any advice any one??

your card is faulty even though you can unlock/lock your car with it it the reciever part of the card is faulty
