I have had a problem with n/s slide rear door which only opens a couple of inches. I have had my mechanic look at this and he says that there is a deadbolt preventing the door from opening but he is having problems accessing the mechanism. Anyone know the cause of this deadbolt and how to fix it?

presume the bolt is holding the runner rail onto side of vehicle. and has come undone. just have to try and either force door back, or undo other bits off your door, until it comes off or outwards at the top, so it can be slid, or you can undo or retighten bolt.
