black soot on tail pipe why?

we have corsa 1.2 53 reg there is lot of black carbon on the tail pipe of exhaust recently had service also car uses a lot more fuel than before

the car is running too rich. you need to get car in garage to check emmisions on their machine. poss oxygen sensor or coolant sensor fault.
