How can i expand the dept keys?

Have sharp era 320 with 11 dept some with larger keys some with smaller keys. I have put all smaller keys on but they will not work. How do I reprogram them?

So everything seems to be working correctly, except the tax is not adding on to the dept. I have set the tax status for T1 and T2 and added each as applicable to each dept key. In a transaction no tax will add on?

That worked perfect! Thanks.

Ok. You will have to allocate the dept function to them then.
Try this:

Turn key to PGM mode
9950
. (decimal point)
a/FOR (next to decimal point)
1
Now type the dept number on the numeric keys e.g 12
Now press the new dept button that you want to place the dept on.
CA/AT (cash button)

If you get an error, then it will need to be done in service mode, but try that for a start.

If it programs the new depts and prints them out as you program but they won't work in REg mode, then that is okay. They may need a status assignment which we can do next. See how you get on.
