fiat punto heater blower stopped working checked fuses all fine purchased new resistor installed still wouldnt work, decided to check fuses again fuses still ok none blown decided to have a look at the relay swapped on relay for another i think they were the same rating and fan started to work fantastic done the job wife well happy but the fan wasnt blowing any air through the vents, decided the fan must be spinning wrong way took out fan checked it was spinning clockwise changed the wiring and it spun anticlockwise then stoppedwould this have blown the resistore or would it be the relay any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Dont know if this is any help. I have just read another question with a response from a punto tech. They said that there is a connector at the base of the heater located on the passenger side under the glove box. Apparently this gets knocked when passengers get in and out and is often the problem.

I had checked all my fuses but they seemed ok. I also tried a relay from another place to see if that was the problem but it still didnt work. I read the tech message and have just been out to my car and hey presto, it works.

It did stop again when I pushed the wires behind the heater out of the way but I pulled them out again, it worked and I pushed them behind as far as I could carefully so as not to stop it working again. Such a relief in this weather.

If you still have no joy locate the question with answer from punto tech he may be able to help further.
