hotpoint twintub wheres the switch to pump out water?

just acquired an old hotpoint twintub 9400 going great washing and spinning away the water flows out of it when its spinning i connected the pipe for it to take the water out of the main washing tub but cant see a button or switch to pump it out can anyone help please

There is no 'switch' as such. You need a rectangular ended hose(exclusive to Hotpoint twin tubs) if you haven't one already which fits over the water jet that flows over the agitator. You then simply put the other end in the sink and the water emptys through the hose when you turn the wash switch on. You do have to take the agitator apart to do this properly. You should also have a circular filter that fits ontop of the agitator where you put the powder in to dissolve and it catches all the lint/fluff as the water is pumped from tub, into filter and back again.. Hope this helps.

from what i can recall
you remove the large filter screen on top of the agitator, then undo the large knurled nut holding the agitator down, now turn on the wash action with the lid fitted to prevent splash, the machine will empty when nearly empty you will see the red tub filter clean the fluff out
