brakes?

I have a 2000 vectra 1.8 petrol. Occasionally when braking the foot brake goes hard for the first few seconds before feeling normal again but I can hear and feel the ABS working.

check there are no air bubbles in system, check level of brake fluid, or go to brake specialist to get system checked.
