Does it make the noise only when stood up? Is it a whistling noise, grinding noise or rattling noise?
Could be blocked, could be clutch or could be motor depending on noise.

check the brush bar on bottom, does it wobble about? might mean u need a new one, easily fitted, 3 nuts unlock the base plate and it just pops off, the rest is self explanitory! hope this helps!
