Can I (woman, 64 years of age) take apart my Kenmore dryer and see if I need and can replace the belt? Unfortunately, I do not have the model details with me.

Hello,

It basically consists of removing the front panel and sliding the belt over the drum and then looping it around the motor and idler pulley which you have to reach in the cabinet for. This is not a terribly tough job and I can help you with dissasembly if you want to try.
