Replacing Rover 45 cylinder head gasket, any ideas about the oil rail?

I am currently replacing the cylinder head gasket on a Rover 45 1.8 2001 model. There seems to be divided opinions as to whether the oil rail should also be replaced. Have any of you come across this? Any help would be greatly appreciated
