when you open the tailgate, you might need to gain access to behind the carpet/panel directly inline with the fuel fap on the outside of the car,this sometimes means just pulling it away or removing a push in clip or small screw. once you have gained access there may be a tag to pull on to pop open the flap, if not there may be a small solenoid take this off and the flap will open.Its worth a spray with wd40 and press the remote a few times to see if solenoid is working.
