our peugeot 406hdi has lost power. it runs ok but when throttle is applied it only manages to get to 1,500 rpm? we have been told its gone into safety mode and to disconnect the battery, leave it for 10 minutes then reconnect and the problem should be sorted. can you help please? thankyou.

that wont fix it, you need to get fault codes read on diagnostic machine at a garage and go from there.
