I used to work as a renault tech for 14 years,and i drive a clio at mo. If my memory serves me,when you start car the mileage displays 00000,then after about 10 secs or so,the mileage is displayed. This tells you your oil level as OK, if it becomes low the display will start to read 000---,depending on how low it is.Each 0 is replaced as a -. I think on my clio i can also have it say oil level ok,if i press the button on dash display. Hope this helps ?
