veritas 8 keypad no power?

we have a Veritas 8 alarm, this morning it went off, I went to reset it but nothing worked, the light on the key pad is not on and the buttons make no sounds when pressed, I went to the control panel and the LED is flashing, do I need a new battery? It eventually stopped going off and the light has stopped flashing but the key pad is no longer working, although the back light to it is still on any ideas?

My keypad appears dead, the alarm activated in power cut, power now on but keyboard does not work.Audio alarm eventually stopped but exterior light still flashing and I cannot reset due to "dead" keyboard. Help!

you may also want to check that the panel has not lost its power supply from the mains,i.e.is it on a rccd circuit that has tripped?

make sure you remove the fuse from spur unit before you open end station

check if any pirs (if fitted )are lit,if not then the 12 volt auxily supply fuse may have blown due to cut cable or faulty cell in battery, check the fuses on main board in end station
