whats the best van to buy?

Im looking at buying a vauxhall combo van on about a 53 reg and was just trying to find out which engine size are the best the 1.3 or the 1.7, and if they are prone to expensive common faults any advice would be appreciated. thanks

you may be lucky to get a 1.3 at that age, timing chains are bad for going if you dont change your oil regularly, get the odd glow plugs, starters, alternators,EGR valves sticking but generally are good engines if looked after,a while since I worked on 1.7`s but can remember the printed circuit boards on the back of the block burning out,but again good engines if serviced regularly.
