This could be a number of reasons for this fault.
1. The heating element could have blown.
2. The thermostat could be faulty and is stuck in the open state. This will stop the power getting to the element.
3. There is often a thermal overload sensor which is also inline with the elemant.

Have you cleaned the filter,it is normaly in the door panel and it traps all the fibres from your clothes,it should just slide upwards out of the inside of the door.
