How do i fix a video camera?

My JVC digital video camera, model no. gr-d30u, won't record right anymore and it makes a clicking noise when I try to zoom in or out. It is so blury that you can't make out what you're trying to record. It will play back videos, but they're blurry and hard to make out.

I have a JVC video camera, Model #GR-D850U. Everytime I put a tape in, I get a message to check to make sure tape is not locked. It isn't, but every tape I try gets that message.

Sounds like the optical lens is out of alignment - the clicking sound is coming from a worn, dirty or damage drive sprocket, which is forcing the lens out of focus. If you can, remove the lens housing and check for any grit or damaged inside the drive assembly. If no damage has been found, clean and re-grease using petroleum gel ie, Vaseline. Re-align the lens using an aptical out to your TV before complete re-assemble. Good Luck.
