Hi, my door intercom doesn't work properly.
My building has 3 entrances with seperate intercom panels.
From 2 of them when you dial my appartment number its says the line is 'busy', and nothing happens at the apartment end.
I've been told the handset in my appartment needs replacing. However, from the third an image appears of the person who's dialed, but thre is no sound and the door opening button doesn't function.
Unfortunalely I rent and have a landlord who's refusing to relace the set because of cost - so anything I could look to repair would be really helpful

I would say that under your your Rent Agreement, unless stipulated that the intercom system is not included it's part of the 'fixtures & fittings', (you're paying for its use), ask /tell him to get it fixed.

I`d agree with the last comment.

You can try and fix it, any good with multiple relay switching?


Or swap your monitor for another that you know works, that way you know it is the monitor.

Ask the landlord for a reduction in the rent as the Video Door Entry system was one of the reasons you rented in the first place.
