How to add new life to a lead battery?

I have a golf cart with 6 volt batteries that cost me a 120 dollars a pop, I have seen ads claiming to rejuvinate old batteries , Is this posible?

They do have a limited affect on the battery, the worse the battery the less the effect, but your batteries are most likely sealed "gel cells" and these would'nt work on them
