hoover nextra mega load 15 dishwasher?

i dont know why my dishwasher starts to wash and about half way through the settingi put it on the light starts to flash and it beeps continually

mine is doing the same thing too, I phoned hoover and they said they think it is the heating element. The engineer is due out on Thurs, I'll repost when he's been.
