How can I fix my citroën Picasso 1.6 diesel?

After 20 mins drivin the car starts spluttering. A couple of times now the oil pressure low warning has come up and cut the engine. I've had s new filter and the amount of oil is fine. Any ideas???

check the oil pump is working, get replacement from good scrappy.
