Location of Rover 214sei 1400 alarm and immobilisor?

To enable me to send off a rover alarm and immobilisor unit to get a replacement " blipper " on my key ring, on the internet , I need to establish its location in the engine bay. Can you assist?
Is it fairly easy to remove. I am promised a 24 service thus putting the car out of action for only a short time. My local rover dealers have closed down and all the others ( miles away ! ) say bring it in but wont tell me where it is over the phone !
Kind regards

Barry

If it's a standard Rover alarm, the reason you need to take it in, is because the new plip needs to be synchronised with the alarm. This is done by plugging a diagnostic computer into the car. They won't tell you where it is because, frankly, you could be a thief trying to find out how to break in to Rovers.
